  • Math Made Fun Through Boogie Boards!

    Funded May 6, 2024

    I want to express my absolute thanks for my students having access to electronic boards! These boards have been a cost-effective solution, replacing the need for hard white-boards and markers that frequently run out of ink. By using electronic boards, students can easily stop-and-jot, solve math problems and use these as a resource to copy and paste information that may escape them quickly over the course of a lesson.

    These boards have also been used in small groups and going over concepts and ideas that further the growth of my students. Without your support and generous donation, this would not have been possible.

  • See the World Through a Child's Eyes

    Funded Oct 25, 2023

    Students were briefed on the history of photography and had opportunities to incorporate techniques in field work. Students had also engaged in creative projects such as scavenger hunts to put their newfound skills and knowledge of photography to the test.

    Ultimately, through practice of iPads, digital cameras and Polaroids were students exposed to different mediums of photography. Students gained an appreciation of the art and were excited to try newfound skills in their own photography!

    I want to thank you for fulfilling this project and allowing students to realize the potential of a different art medium. Most students came into this class not knowing the capabilities of a camera and the finesse of a good shot. I am comforted by the fact that my students had fun and were more curious and knowledgeable about photography.
