Oh how we would love headphones! We utilize iPads in class everyday as I work with small groups to introduce, review and challenge students with various skills taught in 1st grade. The purpose of having headphones for each student is to help control the noise level in the classroom. While I work with my small groups, my other students are “quietly” reading, answering questions, calculating simple facts and learning in fun ways. Sometimes the volume on the iPads can get too loud so having headphones would definitely change the tone in the classroom and not disturb my small group instruction.
