Building Foundational Skills With Technology

we at P.S.279K, would like to thank Donors Choose, On behalf of all our kindergarten students. Since our receipt of the Samsung Tablets, we have been able to establish Literacy Stations in all three of our kindergarten classrooms. Our students are super excited about their use of technology in building their literacy skills. They have since had established rules and schedules for daily use.

We have downloaded Raz-Kids to all 15 tablets and other literacy and math apps. Our students are able to access their accounts from home and not just in the classroom. We have seen an increase class participation and overall interest during literacy lessons. Students have been using the tablets in after school as well. They are excited about reading!! The use of technology by the individual child has really been a wonderful addition to our literacy instruction.
