I am fortunate enough to be able to participate in a flipped learning program in my district, meaning that my students each have their own iPad! One of the components of flipped learning is that students learn from a quick a video lesson on their own, while class time is used to dive into deeper learning. Students use the iPads in a variety of ways to learn and demonstrate their learning. We utilize a large number of applications to acquire new understandings through video lessons, games, educational applications, etc. Students often have the opportunity to demonstrate their learning by making videos and presentations and then share them with the class. These headphones will allow students to work on their own individual work, without disruption from noise from other students' iPads. This allows me, as the teacher, more opportunity to differentiate iPad lessons and activities for students to better meet their individual needs! Students will be able to work at their own pace and on their own skill level. Students who struggle to read will be able to have text read aloud to them via the iPad.
