An Adventure Awaits!
Funded Aug 17, 2023Thank you so much for supporting me and my students. I am so excited to get the materials and use them to help grow my kids. We will do a character study on the books and the students will create a character and do an analysis on that character. I cannot wait to do this with them and it's all thanks to you.”

I "Wonder"
Funded Dec 12, 2022Last year was my first year teaching 3rd grade. This particular class was very smart and I was excited to be able to do all the things that we did last year.
Wonder was an amazing addition to our learning. Students were really engaged and loved the story about a boy that could have gone to their school.
We worked on answering questions in a text, vocabulary, lots of vocabulary, we incorporated writing into it by writing full sentences to answer our questions. The students loved working in small groups to complete their Wonder Workbook. One student finished the book in two days she enjoyed it so much.
I plan on using it this year as well with my new group of 3rd graders. One thing I did learn was to start on it earlier. I want to thank everyone that donated to help give my students this experience. Everyone should read Wonder.
Thank you, Crystal Miller”

Funded Aug 17, 2021My students were thrilled with the seat sacks. Having somewhere to put their things in a classroom where normally everything is together made them so happy. The pillow seats were also a hit, they used them to sit and read and even though we could not go back to reading partners just yet they were happy to sit in their own spaces with their seat cushions. Math was also a hit because of the wipe off number lines, this made teaching addition and subtraction fun and easy. I am so thankful for the help that you all gave to make our year a little more bearable. I will continue to use these materials for years to come with my students. Thank you Crystal Miller”

Funded Sep 15, 2021My students really loved learning how to write using the pre-lined writing paper. It helped several of them learn how to write using the lines and using smaller letters. The whiteboards were also a hit. They were essential in our daily skills practice. Students love using the whiteboards to "Show What They Know" by sounding out and writing the words they were being given.
The seat sacks are especially helpful. Students love having a place of their own to put their things. They are also helpful in keeping a quick pace in transitioning.
I am forever grateful to all of the people and companies that donated to help my classroom be successful.”

Funded Jan 16, 2019The books I received in my project have helped us work on retelling a story as well as identifying the main idea. My classroom library is full of rich text that the kids really enjoy listening to.
My kids come from homes where the parents work or there is a lack of support when it comes to reading. It is evident during reading time, that my kids crave the attention given by being read to. They are so attentive and engaged when I am reading one of our books. About 80% of my kids had significant growth this year due to being exposed to these texts.
Some of my higher students really enjoy being able to sit in the reading center and read the books independently.
The items I received in my project have helped my students with exposure to stories they may not have otherwise been exposed to. The whiteboards have allowed my kids to practice the skills we have learned and do it in their own way. My classroom is more efficient because of you. Thank you so much for your support.”
