Getting Jazzy
Funded Aug 12, 2019There aren't enough words in the English language to express how thankful we are for your donation. These brand new saxophones are being used every day in class. Students are enjoying the band classes with these new instruments, they were in complete awe, and we can't wait to have our first performance this December. The students are so appreciative of this gift you have given us.
When the instruments arrived, they were indescribably happy, they were like "WOW, are those our instruments?" The look on their faces was priceless. They were really excited, they just couldn't wait. We started playing the same day we got them. The band sounds so loud and powerful. It's as if the new saxophones gave them a whole new level of confidence and motivation.
We have some ideas for future performances but unfortunately, nothing is set in stone. We'd like to perform at pep rallies, small events, theatre performances, and hopefully any school occasion. Basically, anywhere and anytime we can. I would just like to show how talented these kids are.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Perez

Funded Jan 25, 2019I can't tell you how grateful we are for your donation! Those new speakers have been extraordinarily helpful in my classroom; my students are so excited.
In every class, we perform new songs, practice our vocal techniques and learn music theory. Now the performance part is different; the quality of the sound is engaging the students to develop new ideas. Lately, my students have been creating their songs, and we are performing them together, they seem to enjoy so much now the experience of a real stage sound in class.
In the future, we will be moving into sound recording and expand our musicality.
Thank you again for your donation and for making this dream come true!”
With gratitude,
Mr. Perez
