  • Color Makes it Bright

    Funded Jan 8, 2024

Wanted to thank you very much for your generous donation to our classroom. We have completed many crafts and projects with the funds from the gift card for teacher pay teacher. My students were able to complete an Earth Day activity read stories about Earth Day, we also have purchased quizzes, which helped to ensure the skills we are learning in class are being retained. We also started a new curriculum, and I was able to purchase slides that go along to enhance our learning and make the lessons more engaging and friendly. We Sincerely thank you.”

    Funded May 9, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous donation of art supplies! The children in my class have been so excited to use the supplies every day. We have completed many projects and can't wait to complete many more! We were also able to make little quiet critters for the students desk, which help them to also focus on reading independently. we are so grateful to be able to have these fun new supplies in our classroom. We are especially excited for the new Play-Doh!! The students have been able to create many projects during creative centers. Thank you again for th donation!”

  • Letters Letters Everywhere

    Funded Sep 29, 2022

I wanted to thank you so much for all the literacy activities. My students have been loving stamping and creating words and letters using their colorful stamp pads. We have been using our playdough stampers daily and creating amazing work.

My students love to read and write and these stamps have made sight words and classroom projects much more enjoyable. They spend many days during free time stamping out their sight words and names. They write each other letters and create "letters" for me as well.

    It is greatly appreciated!!!”

  • Flexible Seating for the Bodies That Just Need to Move!

    Funded Oct 21, 2021

Thank you so much for the donation of the wobble seats and bounce seats. I don't think my students have ever been so excited about some thing ever. It has become something that we use when we are reading independently and has made children want to read more because they knew they get to sit on these special chairs.

Right now we are using them as a reward, but I also use them during small group if a student seems to not be able to sit still to focus. It definitely helps the children that are a little bit more active participate in small group instruction. They are learning, but they're also able to keep their body moving so they're able to focus more on my lesson rather than what they can do next or where else they can go.”

  • Reading About People Like Me!

    Funded Sep 12, 2021

Thank you so very much for thinking of my class and our Donors Choose project. When our books arrived my students were over joyed that strangers would think so much of them to buy them such a great gift. I wish you could have seen to smiles on each one of my students faces when I pulled the books one by one out of the box.

We spent the next few days reading and rereading our new books. These have helped us revisit many of our classroom rules and procedures. The book I am enough was able to help us revisit respecting others, and being kind to one another, which was a reminder we needed.”

  • Tropical Classroom Decor

    Funded Aug 31, 2021

Thank you so much for your donations to our classroom. We have been having such a great start to our new school year with such amazing decor. We have our palm trees and beach scene for reading which students love. Our classroom is colorful, fun and so exciting to enter. The students are loving the vibrant colorful classroom and it has made the transition from home much easier. We spend our mornings reading at the beach, and using our new tropical calendar to get our day started.

The classroom has become completely transformed thanks to you!”

  • School Basics

    Funded Aug 18, 2021

Thank you so much for the opportunity to provide the basic supplies for my classroom. It has made my students first week of school smooth and we were able to to get started right away.

The supplies have been used to start projects getting to know you and classroom rules. They have been able to start writing using their pencils and started creating projects with their new smelly markers, which they love, and their glue sticks. It has been such an easy transition and we haven't had to hold back anything because we didn't have materials.

Thank you again so much for your donation.”

We have made such strides since receiving the materials! Our students are becoming avid readers and are really enjoying the activities.

  • The More You Read the More You Know...

    Funded Dec 6, 2019

Your books are a huge asset to our classroom.

These texts are able to better our guided reading groups. We're able to make predictions, practice tracking, and many more reading strategies. I'm able to encourage my children to respond to the book either through a short discussion where they express opinions, or through providing follow-up activities.

There are many more options for me to pick from for our guided reading groups. I am able to share with them fiction and nonfiction text.

Reading has become a time where we can really dive into books!!”

    Mrs. Montalvo

This project is the basics we need to make our classroom function day to day. Some of the basics include a vacuum to make sure the carpet is clean each day so they have somewhere to sit. We have asked for paper and supplies to help their writing. We ask for books in order to grow their love for reading and passion to succeed. It will give the children the opportunity to reach full potential and maximum growth. Giving our students the opportunity to compete with children growing up in communities where supplies are unlimited. We are extremely grateful for anything you can provide.
