Empowering Readers Through Classroom Library Transformation
Funded Jan 22, 2024I am writing to express my deepest gratitude for your generous donation to our classroom through DonorsChoose. Your support means the world to us and will have a lasting impact on the education and growth of my students.
Thanks to your kindness, we now have a wonderful collection of new books that will ignite the love for reading in each of my students. These books not only enhance our curriculum but also provide diverse perspectives and enriching experiences that will broaden their horizons.
Your contribution not only provides resources but also inspires confidence and shows our students that there are kind-hearted individuals like you who believe in their potential and are invested in their success.
Once again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support. Your generosity is helping to shape the future of our students, and I am truly grateful.”

Funded Nov 28, 2022I am writing to express my gratitude for the incredible impact you have made on my students and my classroom. As a teacher, I am constantly searching for ways to provide my students with the best possible education and create an environment that fosters learning and growth. Thanks to your generosity, I have been able to accomplish so much more than I ever thought possible.
With your support, my students are enjoying the colorful prints and resources I was able to create as a result of the color printer. As a special education teacher, color plays a huge part in understanding academic materials especially with autism.”

Funded Sep 13, 2020There is no end to how satisfying it is to see the look on my students' faces when they receive new books, games and materials. They were so excited to read books like "Be Kind", "When I Feel Frustrated", and "The Worry Machine". We had great discussions about self-awareness, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making. I was happy to share the messages from these "social emotional books". Messages that give them the necessary tools to learn to control and express their emotions. I will be sharing these books with my colleagues and they will be read to all the students who need support during these hard times we are facing.”

Funded Sep 10, 2020There is nothing more satisfying then a teacher seeing her students read and enjoy books. My class is so grateful for getting new books especially books that are socially and emotionally entertaining for them during these hard times we are facing. Books give plenty of joy to my students, and they learn a lot of things from books. They take them into a unique world of imagination and improve their standard of living. Thank you for the opportunity to help inspire my students to do hard work with courage and hope. They enrich the experience for them as well as sharpen their intellect.”

Funded Nov 6, 2019Thank you so much for your generosity. My students have been enjoying using their new flexible sitting and loving it!!!
The impact of having flexible sitting in a self-contained classroom is immeasurable. The students were so shocked, amazed, and excited to get such an awesome donation. We are currently working on becoming more independent and the students are leading their small group activities. While in their groups, they are using their balance balls and soft cushions for their flexible sitting. Also, they are using the write and wipe boards interactively and the change is unbelievable.
My students are excited and more focused while doing their work.
Your gift impacts so many students.
We thank you from the bottom of our heart for your gift.”

Funded Dec 23, 2018My Project couldn't have come at a better time! What is amazing about this whole experience, is that you had an impact on my students who needed help with their organization skills and everyday routines, in order to be able to function within the classroom. When the boxes started arriving, my students couldn't believe it! They kept coming and coming! The students couldn't believe that this was really happening. They asked me "how come they want to donate to us?" What really is beautiful about DonorsChoose.org, is that it made my class feel and understand that there is someone outside their community and school that really cares about them. When they shared that with me, it really brought tears to my eyes. They really feel special.
They are so appreciative of all the supplies we received. They were so happy with the Bingo synonyms, site-words, and homophones, that they started playing right away. They are not even realizing how much they are learning because they are having so much fun. Furthermore, they are helping each other and socializing more as a result.
Thanks to the multi-color-drawer organizer and folders, they are now able to distinguish between assignments and transition between lessons smoothly. They are loving it! They also love seeing their names on the mailbox and feeling special getting mail everyday. In addition, this has helped create new class job opportunities and they feel more responsible toward each others property and the classroom.
My beautiful class is learning with fun and they realize what a special privilege this is and they do not take it for granted. I truly believe that the donations have made our classroom such a warm, welcoming, and cozy place to learn and the belief that there is someone out there that cares lives on. Thank you to everyone who has supported us!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Eliasi
