  • Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?

    Thank you so much for your generous donation. I was so excited to receive a class copy of Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? for each of my preschool students. This book is great for preschoolers because it teaches them how to read. This book is easy for preschoolers to read due to the repetitive text and use of colors and animals. My students were so excited when they heard that they each get their own copy of the book to bring home. Many preschoolers were excited to read the book to their parents or their siblings. This book is a great way to get students excited to learn how to read. Without your donation this wouldn't be possible.”

  • Number Fun!

    Thank you so much for your donation. My preschool students were so excited to receive a deck of Uno cards that they could have at home to play with their families. My students have worked so hard to recognize numbers 0-10 so they were so excited to learn how to play Uno. Playing Uno is a great way to have fun while spending time with family members.

    My students also used the Uno cards as a way to practice connecting numbers to quantities. They ordered the Uno cards from 1 to 9 and used objects to count. This is a great activity to practice number sequencing and counting.”

    Thank you so much for your donation. My preschool students loved reading and exploring our first Scholastic magazine together in class. We discussed ways in which we get ready for school in the morning. We also discussed ways of how to have fun in school. My preschoolers were very excited to share their ideas. The most popular answers were building in the block center and playing in the kitchen center. Listening to stories and playing on the playground were also very popular.

    The second magazine was all about apples. My preschoolers learned if apples sink or float, what animals eat apples, and the parts of an apple. My students can't wait for the October magazine!”

  • Preschool Library Books Needed!

    Funded Apr 4, 2024

    Thank you so much for your generous donation! My preschool students were so happy and excited when I opened the boxes with the new classroom library books. The students looked at the front cover of the books and we decided how to sort them by themes to put in our library. One theme was Valentine's Day books. The students loved the book Love Monster and Love Grows Everywhere. We also had a pile of books for springtime. The students thought Spring Stinks was a very funny story and it brought lots of giggles. Without your donations, my students would not have the experience of reading age appropriate books that are of interest to them.”
