These materials would provide opportunities for low-income students to develop a love for a healthy lifestyle, and hopefully find "the thing" they are passionate about! As an ex-collegiate athlete, physical exercise motivated and helped me focus in school, and I hope to provide that experience for all students. By supporting our class through the purchase of soccer balls, kickballs, hula hoops, beanbags, a basketball, and cones, the opportunity to provide a variety of activities will be limitless! Exercise not only affects children on the field, but it carries into the classroom. Providing my students with 120 minutes of PE a week with no materials is difficult, but I see the positive impact our limited PE has on each student... Whether it is team building, finding the sport that brings them joy, refocusing so he/she is ready to learn in the classroom, etc., physical exercise should be a priority! Please help me make provide my students with physical education opportunities and get inspired to live a healthy lifestyle.
