My students are young multilingual learners full of wonder and creativity. They are always eager to explore and learn. They are caring, funny and enjoy coming to school. All of the children in my classroom are ELLs and need educational materials that encourage hands on exploration and wonder. We use a constructivist approach to teaching and learning, which emphasizes an arts-based, student-driven curriculum, discovery and exploration. Children are encouraged to explore and find motivation in the joy of learning utilizing multiple forms of expression. This results in long-term child-initiated studies in the areas of science, literacy, math, learning materials, identity and community.
