  • Samsung Solve For Tomorrow National Finalist

    Funded Jun 21, 2021

Access to technology is now more prevalent globally. As technology increases, we must use creative methods to leverage this technology in classrooms. Low-income students grow up in poverty and usually attend resource-poor schools. Many grow up in environments where no one in their family has attended college. Your donation has given my students experiences and opportunities early in their education to stay competitive in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).

With your contribution, we have facilitated STEAM-integrated lessons specifically designed to address the national standards in computer science, engineering, and technology.

I am so grateful but most importantly, so are my students. Your generosity is so appreciated. Your contribution will meet the needs of students passionate about finding opportunities to connect with careers in technology, computer programming, robotics, and engineering.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Wallace

  • Sanitizing Classrooms Through Stem

    Funded Sep 23, 2021

The students and I are utilizing the resources you have donated to research and implement remote classroom sanitation to reduce the spread of Covid-19. The resources you have given offer students a great opportunity to advance skills in 3D design/ printing, robotics, and app development. By providing the materials the students needed, you have initiated entrepreneurship, innovation, and problem-solving for the 21st century.

When the students first saw the materials they were very excited. They have been provided with a means to bring their concepts and ideas to life!

The students are still 3D modeling prototypes for a component to house the robotics. They are working through steps to develop an app to remotely power the sanitation device. This project has continued to push the student's innovativeness and 21st-century skills! We thank you so much! Your donation has made such a positive impact on our classroom!”

    With gratitude,

  • Face Shield Design

    Funded Sep 8, 2021

The students and I are utilizing the resources you have donated to research and implement face shield design to reduce the spread of Covid-19. The resources you have given offer students a great opportunity to apply and extend their cognitive energies to problem-solving. By providing the materials the students needed to create face shields, you pushed them to work hard to make sense of the factors that caused the spread of Covid-19.

When the students first saw the materials they were very excited. You provided them with a means to bring their concepts and ideas to life! They have used your donation to find creative solutions in designing face shields.

The students are still 3D modeling prototypes for eye protection. They are working through steps to attach the polycarbonate sheets to protect the nose and mouth. With the spread of variants, this project has continued to evolve putting the student's

ingenuity and creativity to the test. We thank you so much! Your donation has made such a positive impact on our classroom!”
