  • What?! There's Star Wars Copy Paper!?

    Funded Jan 19, 2018

Thank you for donating the copy paper to my classroom. My students and I have been preparing for our end-of-year performances including two competitions, graduation, and two awards ceremonies. This requires lots and LOTS of music. We do not hand out original pieces of music because if (usually, when) they get lost, we have to pay per piece to get another original copy. With the budget constraints we have, its best to do what we can to limit the loss of music. That's the importance of this copy paper! To save our originals!

Thank you for helping us keep our music from getting lost by supplying this copy paper!”

  • Did You Eat That Reed For Dinner?

    Funded Dec 9, 2017

Thank you for the donation of these reeds to my classroom. My students rehearse many hours during the week and I often don't realize how much it takes a toll on their reeds. Many of these young musicians are in three or four ensembles (jazz band, marching band, symphonic band, and pit band). We are currently preparing for our spring musical and spring competition trip. This requires many additional hours of rehearsal and my students always commit with a smile on their face. These reeds will help last through the spring musical. Thank you for your kind and generous donation to our classroom.”

  • Ink! Ink! What We Need When We Think!

    Funded Jan 24, 2018

Thank you for donating the color ink cartridges for our new printer. It was such a nice thing to hang up the students' work with color photos. I feel that color photos truly express the style of clothing at the time the composer was alive. This is another way for the students to connect with people they will never have the chance to meet. Thank you for generously donating these supplies to our classroom. Both the students and I are eternally grateful for your kindness.

It was a nice end-of-year project to complete these assignments before the end of school.”

  • Call Dr. Beat! Band Can't Survive Without a Pulse!

    Funded May 7, 2018

Thank you for your generous donation of two Doctor Beat metronomes. This device makes it nearly impossible for students to fall behind the best or speed up the tempo. These are very common problems of young musicians in the middle school age group. Students are still learning to internally feel the pulse. As we prepare for competitions this year, these devices will help tremendously! Thank you!”

    Ms. Pohl

  • Can You Hear Me Now?

    Funded May 4, 2018

Thank you for your generous donations that funded these wonderful microphones. We used similar microphones during this year’s production of Hairspray and the microphones were black instead. They were very noticeable and somewhat of a distraction to our audience members. These flesh tone microphones will help blend in with the skin tone of the students and will be less of a distraction to our audience and help immerse them in the story of the show. Thank you!”

  • Band Room Basics

    Funded Apr 12, 2018

Thank you for helping fund these items for my classroom. The students are in need of these cleaning materials to keep our instruments in good condition and also ourselves. Germs are spreading fast during this school year and when students are absent, they fall behind in music experience. It's so important to keep students healthy and instruments clean and I am so grateful for your generous donation.”

  • Black and White is Boring: We Need Color!

    Funded Mar 16, 2018

Thank you for donating to my classroom. My students will be super thrilled that we are going to receive these color ink cartridges for them to complete their project on time! As a teacher, the best thing in the world is to see a smile on your students’ faces! Thank you for making that possible!”

    With gratitude,

  • Storage Bins for Marching Band Uniforms

    Funded Dec 9, 2017

Thank you for donating the EXTREMELY necessary large tote bins to our school band. As you can see in the photos our marching band closet was in DESPERATE need of some cleaning and reorganization. Thanks to the bins you purchased for us, we finally have a much more organized storage space. In this closet we store our uniforms, hats, plumes, and even the drums. I avoided cleaning out that closet so many times because it was daunting when I peeked in. I'm the photos you can see all the destroyed cardboard boxes that I had to sift through and empty to find our spare uniform pants. Thank you for your kindness. It motivates me to tackle this disaster and turn it back into a functioning storage space.”

  • Advancing Musicians Need Advanced Mouthpieces

    Funded Nov 4, 2017

Thank you for donating these intermediate mouthpieces to the students in my classroom. They are overwhelmed with joy and thrilled with the new sound quality they are producing. As in anything, sometimes a change in equipment can make a huge difference. My clarinetists have never sounded so good! As growing musicians it says a lot that they are able to identify the change in their sound quality and appreciate the improvement that has taken place. I am so grateful for your generosity and appreciate your genuine kindness in improving my band. Thank you.”

    With gratitude,

  • Eww, What Am I Stepping In?!

    Funded Oct 25, 2017

As the bad weather approaches I am so grateful that you generously donated to the school. We have approximately 250 students traipsing through our classroom on a daily basis and with the bad weather (winter) coming I can't even imagine what dirt will be brought into the room. In addition, our brass players release the water (spit) from their instruments on the nice wood floors and a simple broom just won't cut it. Thank you for your kindness in helping solve this problem. Each year it gets worse and I didn't know how to solve it until I saw this product online and knew it was the answer!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Pohl
