  • Flexible in First

    Funded Nov 30, 2021

Thank you very much for donating to my flexible classroom. Due to your generosity I was able to purchase more balance balls, two new wobble stools, and a set of stationary stools. These additions to the classroom have been very appreciated and much enjoyed by my first grade students.

My students change seats monthly and love that they are able to choose a seating option that works best for their own individual learning style. The wobble stools and balance balls allow my students to release energy while they are learning and help keep them focused on their tasks. The stationary stools provide an area for my students to gather with me in small groups or one-on one.”

  • Ready to Read

    Funded Oct 21, 2021

Thank you very much for the Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards. This is currently my first year in first grade and I wanted to ensure that I was able to provide my students with a variety of reading resources that were both engaging and rigorous.

Due to your generosity I was able to purchase many reading materials that have had a great impact on my students reading. The resources purchased have aligned with both our curriculum and common core standards and have helped guide my students in their own personal reading journey. I have truly enjoyed sharing these resources with my students and watching their reading blossom.”

  • Fabulous in Fourth

    Funded Dec 1, 2020

Thank you so much for the portable easel and document camera. These resources have been a wonderful addition to our 4th grade classroom and have made a great impact on my students' learning.

The portable easel is used daily in my classroom to display different information pertaining to our daily lessons. I love that I am able to move the easel throughout the classroom to address smaller groups of students, or even give students one-on-one attention and redirection. The easel was also used in live lessons and prerecorded ones when my students were learning virtually.

The document camera was perfect for virtual instruction. There were several occasions throughout the year when our school had to switch to remote learning. The document camera allowed me to provide my students with quality live lessons and prerecorded ones from both my classroom and home.

My students were very excited and appreciative to learn of your generosity. They couldn't wait to open the boxes when the materials arrived to our classroom!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Reed

  • Fun in Fourth

    Funded Sep 4, 2020

The crates have been a huge part of our classroom this school year and are used daily by students. I have a flexible classroom so most students do not have a desk to store their belongings. The crates have been wonderful for students to store all of their daily classroom materials in.

The math manipulatives have also been a wonderful addition to our classroom. This is my first year teaching fourth grade and prior to your donation I was lacking in math manipulatives. The students have enjoyed using these to help enhance their math lessons and gain a better understanding. So far we have used the protractors in the classroom. We will be starting fractions soon and will have the chance to use the rest of the manipulatives then.

The students were very excited when they learned of your generosity and take great pride in the materials they received. Thank you for your support.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Reed

Flexible seating is important because it allows students to take control of their learning and make choices that best suit their needs. Their productivity levels increase while working in an environment that is comfortable. My students love collaborating with their peers and learning from one another. Currently, my students are able to choose from stability balls, crates, pillows, and stationary stools. The new table and wobble chairs will provide my students with an additional choice. The table with provide another area where students are able to gather and work as a team, while the wobble stools will allow them to get out all their extra wiggles.
