  • The Love for Technology

    Funded Sep 19, 2024

I work in a low income school. The students in my class need access to computers and technology. My students use the technology to complete programs part of their curriculum essential to their learning like Iready and Imagine Learning.

The students also use it to acquire the English language. Having new computers is beneficial because they are updated. The students in my class are enjoying these new computers. They enjoy how the computer looks and that it is brand new. Having more technology helps to have more students engaged with technology. My students and I appreciate your support.”

    With gratitude,

  • Learning Through Technology!

    Funded Oct 8, 2019

All my students come from low income families and have free or reduced lunch. They do not have computer at home. The use of technology helps them increase their literacy and math knowledge. They get excited to use computers and read books in the internet. Technology is growing each day more and more.

With these new chromebooks, I can put more students in small groups and at the same time I can teach . While i work with some students, others can practice what i taught in small group.

The love the idea of using the chromebooks and increasing their knowledge every day even more and appreciate your contribution to help my students succeed.”

  • The Power of Technology!

    Funded Jul 12, 2019

My students come from low income families with free or reduced lunch. The majority have no access to internet and computers outside of school or library. In today's society technology is one important resource for the classroom as a tool for the students to succeed.

They use the computers for educational websites in the class like I Ready, Myon and Starfall. My students enjoy using the laptop since they have never used one and treat it with lots of care. Daily, my students ask me when they will use the laptop. Moreover, they get excited to learn more each and everyday.

As a teacher, it is rewarding to see students and get excited about learning. Also, I feel pleased to get these resources from people willing to help me and my classroom. My students are the future of tomorrow.”

  • Pleasure Reading

    Funded Feb 25, 2019

My students come from low income backgrounds. They have free and reduced lunch and the majority do not have books at home to read to improve their knowledge and skills. Having different levels of books help each of my students practice their knowledge and skills learned in class. Furthermore, it gives them a chance to enjoy themselves while at the same time learn. Reading opens their eyes to explore new things.

As a result, all my students are enjoying the new books. Daily,as they complete their class assignment they get a book and read. After they have finished reading they share it with their classmates what they learned about the book. Furthermore at times I have my students talk about the book in writing. Some of the skills they practice are story elements like characters, setting, plot. They also understand what is happening since the books have different levels for the students in my class.

I also enjoyed reading books to my students because that helps with their listening and oral comprehension skills. My students are eager to read and practice their skills throughout these books.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Rodriguez
