Students will be able to explore first-hand how forces work in our world. We have very limited resources and these materials will help our understanding of the world around us grow tremendously. I believe it is only through exploration that real-world experiences can be achieved, especially in a Kindergarten class. The materials you are donating to our class will enhance our chance of a better understanding. Students will use the K'nex kits to build ramps and then explore how the inclination creates more force depending on their angle, analyze information based on how far different objects traveled when they went down the ramp, and improve their designs by talking to their teams, so that they can send objects the farthest. The kits will be used continuously to build towers, bridges, and other structures throughout the year to explore more forces. By donating to our class, you will provide us with valuable materials necessary for our learning. Our main objective with this project is to help the student know that energy, force, and motion are related and are a part of their everyday life.
