"Flexible seating" is important because it allows students to find comfortable positions, which help them stay focus and learn. Beanbag seats will offer a comfortable place to seat when they are in their reading centers. The comfy floor seats will be used for students who need a change of learning space, moving them away from their desks so that they can do independent work. The giant comfy pillows will be used for reading centers. The wobble chair will be useful for high-energy students who need to move, channel their energy into something productive, and remain focused. As a teacher, I care that all of my students' individual, day-to-day needs are met, which includes providing a comfortable learning environment. These flexible seating options will go a long way towards ensuring that my students are in the best "position" to learn.
