Guided reading small groups are one of my favorite times of the day. Getting the kids excited about diving into a book and using lots of different tools to do so makes our job and their jobs so much more fun! Magnifying glasses, flashlights, pointers and highlighter strips will make finding text evidence to support their reading responses WAY more fun and exciting! The delicious smell of the scented pencils will make the students want to explain their responses even more. I can provide positive feedback with the ding of the smiley bell, positive reward cones and track feedback with a simple notecard system.

About my class
