Mindful Movement
Funded Dec 2, 2021Thank you so much for your generous donation! The yoga mats, blocks, and straps have been extremely useful in our after school yoga class.
When the materials first arrived, we were all so excited. The students had been using old, worn out mats that we had borrowed from the gym. Our students were so grateful to have brand new, more cushioned mats that provide extra padding and support. The yoga blocks and straps have allowed our students to explore the best ways to support their postures, aid in their building of strength, and increase their flexibility. The yoga mat cleaner helps up keep the mats sanitized and smelling fresh.
Our next steps are always to expand our program and include more eager participants. The class is slowly growing and includes students from two middle schools. We are all enjoying practicing mindfulness on a consistent basis and sharing what we have learned.
Thank you again for your generosity.”

This classroom project was brought to life by #TeachHealthy with Nature Made and 4 other donors.Say, Cheese!
Funded Jan 1, 2019Thank you so much for your donations to our "Say Cheese!" project. Because of your generosity, we were able to purchase three Kodak PixPro cameras and memory cards. These cameras were used to take photos that were included in a school wide yearbook, which our school has not had in approximately 5 years. A picture of the cover is included for your viewing pleasure.
While most everyone takes photos with their phones today, my students were especially excited to learn how a "real camera" works. They were eager to test out all the special photo settings and modes, like portrait, sports, and party modes, to determine the differences in photo quality. And then they learned how to upload the photos to the yearbook site.
Because we wanted to share the wealth, our cameras were also used by 8th grade students in an enrichment class that were working on a journalism project. They were required to interview an influential person in our school and needed photos of interviewees.
Finally, like my students mentioned in our project essay, these cameras will be used with future generations of yearbook staff members. Thanks to your contributions, we look forward to continuing the yearbook tradition and helping our students learn a little more about photography and journalism.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Keenen
