Missing a large item like a gong in a musical ensemble is difficult to cover that huge void. Most of the time we talk about listening down or balancing to the lowest instrument in the ensemble but when your missing that element, there are issues at hand and lack of a full sonorous sound to the group. 3 concert bands, 2 jazz bands, a percussion ensemble and a symphony orchestra would benefit from the orchestral gong which would have a major impact to over 140 students in the instrumental program at the school. Please help create a firm foundation for these ensembles.
