My students and their families are new to traditional school setting therefore I provide opportunities to encourage community within my classroom. And I encourage students’ families to become an active participant in our community. The construction paper will allow me to direct my students in craft projects that will lead to more cutting and tearing. It also provides for individual and group projects that the students decide to pursue. This work with paper helps to build fine motor skills. And making crafts will also help build my students’ self-esteem. I would like to receive bulletin paper and cleaning supplies so that my room may appear orderly and clean. The storage bins are to update my old bins so that I keep games and other projects organized for students ease-of-use during their choice time centers.
