My ESL students learn the best when using visuals. They learn words by associating them with a picture. I currently print the visuals in black and white, making it difficult to see at times. If I am able to print in color the students will not struggle to decipher what the picture actually is. In addition, when I print their worksheets, they will be able to see the photos and illustrations clearly. Therefore, increasing the likelihood of comprehension. My goal is for them to reach grade level after a year in this country, it has been a challenge. I truly believe if I can provide them with visuals in color it will increase their understanding.
