Creating Quality Reading Stations
Funded Mar 27, 2018Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity. Your donation has gone so far in our classroom and we are beyond grateful. So many of the supplies have helped to organize our Reading Stations in the classroom. No longer were students losing their materials, but they always knew where things were and they were able to get important papers home to their parents. These materials also helped out myself to keep better running records of the student's reading progress. So often our needs are met at the beginning of the school year, but we run out by the end of the year. Thank you so much for helping us make it to the end of the school year!”

Funded Sep 14, 2017Thank you so much for donating to my classroom project, Keeping Fourth Graders Organized. Already it has done just that! Students are now able to organize their work in a safe, private way with the mailboxes. I sort all graded work, but helpers sort the rest of the papers for their classmates. When they're done they just grab their papers to take them home!
The clips have been equally beneficial in displaying their work, hanging signs, and important paperwork. The labels are amazing for labeling their notebooks and keeping them separated from other books. You have truly made a difference for us! Thank you!!”

Molding First Graders into Mathematicians!
Funded Mar 29, 2017Thank you so much for your donation to our classroom. These supplies have truly made a difference for each and every one of my students. They love using technology and many of our headphones have broken (from overuse and being old), so these new ones replenished what we've lost. They help keep our students engaged, learning, and from distracting one another with the noise.
They also love the paints. First graders go through paint like it's their job and before we know it we need more. This project provided us with new colors and a clean tray to work with. We use it for spelling and even math!
The velcro has been a life savor for hanging posters and their weekly spelling words. We hide them around the room and students hunt around looking for them, while practicing their spellings.
The clipboards have also been great, because it gives them the opportunity to spread out across the room, out of their desks, in a place where they feel comfortable learning. I like my students to have student choice and these clip boards provide just that!
Thank you so much for your support. We truly couldn't have gotten here without you!”

Funded Mar 9, 2016Dear Donors,
Thank you so much for our amazing new carpet. The students love having a comfortable and colorful place to sit. Every day we meet here to share, learn, and work together on this amazing space. They love getting out of their desks and being surrounded by their peers. We start every day here for calendar and share time. We then introduce all of our lessons here before breaking into stations or independent work. The children's favorite part of the day is before lunch when I read to them. They all gather round as I read the next chapter from our chapter book. The children love listening here, instead of at their desks. They can see all of the pictures more clearly and are even more engaged. Thank you so much for your wonderful donations. You've truly made a positive difference!”

Teaching My Students to Love Learning Right From the Start
Funded Nov 30, 2015Thank you so much for your generous donation to my classroom. My students were so excited to receive our new supplies. Their enjoyment for learning has definitely increased, simply by adding more "fun" to the learning environment. For example, we have used the paints during math (painting math problems instead of writing), practicing spelling words, and even during our STEM breaks. The glitter has added a sparkle to our learning and the book boxes have brightened up our classroom. On behalf of my students and myself, thank you so much for your kindness.”

Headphones To Encourage More Focused Learning
Funded Dec 30, 2014Thank you so much for your generous donations to my project. Your kindness has certainly gone a long way in my classroom. I have seen such a transformation in not only my classroom, but the other first grade classes as well. Students are now more engaged in their independent learning. They are able to focus on their activities, math problems, and stories. It's also much quieter in my classroom, which allows me to better service the students in small groups. My students and I are so grateful. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!”

Basic Supplies to Spark Incredible Learning Opportunities
Funded Dec 3, 2014Thank you so much for your generous donation to my project. Your kindness has certainly gone a long way in my classroom. First, the paper has been amazing for them to draw and write on. I have seen their handwriting improve for so many of them, having the appropriate spacing! Second, the dry erase markers have been a lifesaver with our frequent dry erase board use. They were depleting our supply so quickly and now we have enough to last the rest of the year! Third, every student now has a homework folder again; my new students as well as ones that have lost them! Fifth, the cutting board has saved my life! I have already created so many books now for them using it and it's cut my time in half! My students and I are so grateful. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!”

Funded Sep 4, 2014Words cannot describe how grateful my students and I am for your generosity. Your donations to this project has made a huge impact on our classroom and the children love what this colored printer has enabled us to do! We can color printed pictures, color vocabulary cards, and even colored books. It has transformed our classroom into a place that's developmentally appropriate for a class of first graders! We have even been able to use the scanner to scan student's work for parents! Thank you so much for funding this project!”

Bringing the World Into My First Grade Classroom
Funded Aug 22, 2014Words cannot describe how grateful my students and I am for your generosity. Your donations to this project has made a huge impact on our classroom and the children love these magazines! Each week a new one goes home and each of them get their very own copy. They love seeing what will be on the front cover that week and can't wait to take them home and share them with their family's at home! Students get time in class to explore the stories and as a result are exposed to the world outside of our small community. Thank you so much for funding this project!”

Funded Aug 23, 2014Words cannot describe how grateful my students and I am for your generosity. Your donations to this project has made a huge impact on our classroom and the children love these materials. We are able to use them all during our small group math stations. Having more options allows students to chose what activities they want to work on and with who, enabling them to take full ownership of their learning! It's been amazing to see them all focused and on task during stations. They're actually upset when the bell rings to clean up! Thank you so much for funding this project, you have transformed our math classroom!”
