It is definitely challenging to keep young students engaged during virtual learning. I have a lot of great materials, but it can be difficult for my students to see what I have when I play with them in the background. By using the Osmo base for iPad, it will give my students a better view of what I want them to see and will increase their participation in the activity. My students really love manipulatives, so the farm and safari animals would work great with books I already have to read with them.
