My students want to be makers and producers. The students will benefit from having more digital cameras in the classroom to work on developing their passions for photography and video productions. It is important to cultivate a students passion creativity. Students will be able to learn how to make quality videos. I have a few spaces in my classroom where students are able to retreat and record or edit in quiet, but not enough spaces for everyone to do it at one time. The creative skills students have when they first come to school tend to get lost as they get older. When students are excited to work on a creative project we need to stoke the creative fire. Students will benefit from the headphones when they are editing their videos and audio projects in their technology elective class. The headphones will also benefit my history students because we utilize different audio and video resources to make history come alive. Some of my students cannot afford to have headphones. By funding this project I will be able to provide a class set of headphones for all of my classes.
