My students are a diverse group of caring, hardworking kids. I have Latino's, African Americans, Chinese, Japanese, and Vietnamese students that are all at school to work hard no matter what is happening at home. Most of my students go home, watch T.V. and don't ever go outside and visit new places that are just around the corner. My students come from a low-income area, most kids are on free lunches.
Although some come from a tough home life they come to school everyday eager to learn and do something new and creative. My students love being able to draw with the materials that we have (which consists little of colored pencils, crayons and markers). If my students where able to touch paint, explore with it and then start making art work with the paint I know that they would be ecstatic!
