Learning with Technology!
Funded Dec 3, 2018We can't thank you enough for the way your donations have improved our students who are applying their skills learned into technology. Your chrome books have allowed them to investigate other ways of solving math problems and doing research in science. After every lesson, they are allotted the last 10 minutes to navigate and watch some quick videos of the same topic and see the different ways other teachers have taught and applied it. They have been so eager to learn ever since and thanks to your donations, they use the chrome books as an incentive to pay closer attention and finish their work knowing a great thing is awaiting which is the chrome books corner. Not only are they learning and enjoying math and science more, they are learning new tools that are useful to their future. Thanks to your donations, the students have been more responsible and acting as better classmates to their fellow friends. They are more engaged. For those students who unfortunately don't have access to technology at home, the chrome books work wonder and truly boost their energy and desire to come to school.
The students are asked to keep a journal entry of every topic learned at the end of each unit. The chrome books come in handy in helping them search the topic, write their journal entries using their notes and any necessary tools found they can incorporate into their writing. They have each purchased their own flash drives, so they can save their work for later use or use elsewhere.
Another great thing about the chrome books is that students have been more intuitive about learning. Inappropriate behavior has been down and more maturity is being shown. The parents have voiced also their contentment towards their children's learning and have shared great stories with the teachers. Even the most shy students have broken out of their shells. They are more engaged and more willing to share their findings with others. We have some students with limitations. Despite their limitations, they have been able to compete with others of the same age and grade group.
We pray that as much as your chrome books have put a smile on so many faces, their future will shine as bright as the sun.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Beaulieu-Adma
