We are a student powered production studio that serves the community! A completed video and media production studio will help my students fulfill their dreams of becoming future content creators. Although small, our studio will facilitate student’s ability to produce a live stream student news show every week. And it will also inspire students to create digital content for the school website and our student YouTube and Eduvision channels. With my students, we have develop an engaging, dynamic, and hands-on classroom, which has been the basis for creating a production studio. I have found that project-based learning allows for more conceptual understanding of a concept and I am an avid believer in creating a classroom where conceptual understanding is fostered. In my classroom students are willing to take risks and try new things because of the safe and friendly atmosphere that I have developed. The most effective tool for student motivation is using real-life examples that are relevant and interesting to my media students.
