  • Keep It Together!

    Funded May 24, 2024

Thank you so much for your donation towards our project. It is because of kind folks like yourselves who make our lives in the classroom that much easier.

The storage cart I purchased has helped us keep things organized and running smoothly in our classroom.

Sometimes, funding is hard to receive for items needed in the classroom year after year, but through Donors Choose, teachers such as myself can provide students with the needed items.

I hope I get to pay the kind act forward to someone else in need.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Solis

  • Books! Books! and More Books!

    Funded Aug 15, 2023

I just want to take a minute to thank you for your donations. My students loved the books I was able to order for my class. I even have students asking if they can take them home to read. It is a wonderful feeling knowing that my students are taking the time to read for their enjoyment, especially in a technology-driven world.

It is because of your help that my students will become avid readers. Being avid readers will help them succeed not only in school but in life.

Again, thank you so much for all of your help.”

  • Proud Of Our Work!

    Funded Apr 6, 2023

Thank you for all of your support towards this Donors Choose project. With your help, I was able to purchase items to help display my student's work.

They get very excited to see their work displayed in the hallway. It gives them a sense of pride especially when their parents come in for Open House. This has made them take more time doing their work properly and neat. I used to have students who would color, cut, and write very messy. With your help, they have taken time to do the work the way it should be because they know others will see it.

Again, thank you for all of your help.”

  • An Ear-resistible Approach to Building Reading Skills

    Funded May 1, 2023

Thank you so much for your donation towards my project. As you are well aware technology is something that is not going away any time soon. In school, we use technology for a number of reasons. One of the reasons we use technology is for the students to work on apps that provide a form of instruction while as teachers we can see where they excel and where they need additional help.

The headphones purchased with your donations have gone to students whose parents were not able to afford to buy headphones for their children.

Again, thank you for all of your help.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Solis

  • You've Got the Write Stuff!

    Funded Oct 19, 2022

First and foremost I would like to thank you for your generous donation towards the donors choose project. Writing is something I know my students and others in the grade level dreed doing. With the writing journal you helped supply for my class my students have found writing a bit more enjoyable. The way the booklet breaks down the writing assignment a little each day and then allows them to write the final product has made writing paragraphs easier for my students. This doesn't make them feel so overwhelmed.

Since we first received the package my students have been very happy.

Again, thank you for all of your help.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Solis

  • Playtime Is Fun!

    Funded Nov 29, 2022

First and foremost, thank you for donating to my project. I can honestly say that the items in this project have been the best items I've requested. I started this project to give my students an incentive for good behavior in class and as motivation to complete their homework daily. Since we received the items my students know that they get rewarded on Friday afternoons for good behavior throughout the week and for doing all of their assignments. They love being able to get the toys out and play with each other and socialize. This has helped build their social skills, but most importantly helped them become more respectful and responsible.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Solis

  • Safety is Our Priority!

    Funded Sep 29, 2022

First and foremost I want to thank you for your generosity. It means a lot knowing there are people who are willing to help when needed.

Lately, around the country, we have been having a lot of instances where educators and students need to make sure that we are safe on our campus and in our classrooms.

I hope we never have to be in a situation where our campus is on lockdown for our safety. Although nothing will be able to prepare us for such a circumstance having items we might need to make us feel safer is appreciated.

Again, thank you for your donations.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Solis

  • Color Printer for the Classroom

    Funded Aug 9, 2022

Boy oh boy, having this printer has helped so much in my class. The students love being able to use the printer for their projects. We have been able to use the printer to print colored photos for the GT projects. This has helped make the GT projects look so sharp. Not only have we been able to use the printer for GT projects we have also been able to use it for other resources the students might need. The fact that we do not have to buy colored ink very often helps with my personal budget.

Thank you so much for helping me and my students. We truly appreciate it.”

  • Reading Is Exciting!

    Funded Jun 21, 2022

When I created the project "Reading is Exciting" I knew my students would be happy to read the books ordered. What I didn't expect is for them to enjoy reading so much that they read a book any little chance they get. Whenever they have completed an assignment you can find them reading. It is because of your kind hearts and donations that I have been able to provide them with a larger library of books to read. Reading has helped improve their fluency which has helped them through out the day in every subject. I have always told my students "The more you read the easier things will be for you."”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Solis
