  • Finding Yourself in Stories

    Funded Aug 13, 2021

Thank you so much for all of your donations. Having a culturally responsive classroom is very important to me and my school. I am one step closer to providing my young learners with resources to teach them about other people, their cultures and their differences. I cannot thank you enough.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Lopes

  • Learning Simplistically With Simple Machines

    Funded Apr 24, 2021

Thank you so much for all of your generous donations. These materials will be used throughout the school year during specific units of study. My 3K students will benefit from having these hands on materials to help them learn. We cannot thank you enough and express how excited we are to be able to use these materials in our classroom.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Lopes

  • Adora-BALL Study for 3K

    Funded Oct 17, 2020

Thank you so much for your generous donations to our Adora-BALL project. Having the opportunity to play with hands on materials is such a great opportunity for my young learners. It truly gives them the opportunity to understand new vocabulary and express themselves through play. They were all so excited when they saw different types of sports balls being blown up in our classroom- they were ready to play!

We took the time to specifically use these materials during our Ball Study. They have had the opportunity to refer back to them to use and play throughout the school year. Many of them learned the terms and how to use different balls for different sports. These materials brought a lot of the kids out of their shells.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Lopes

  • A World Of Color

    Funded Sep 15, 2020

Thank you so much for donating to my "World of Color" project. Giving my students the opportunity to visually learn when things cannot be in our physical possession is very important to me. When teaching young learners and English Language Learners (ELL) new vocabulary pops up often. Many topics that we discuss in our classroom is new to them. Your donations towards a brand new printer and ink has given my students the chance to see objects that may not be able to be physically in the classroom. We continue to print new games for them (memory, sorting, etc.) each unit and it has helped them in their learning experience.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Lopes

Children learn best through visuals and repetition. A welcoming setting is what we love to provide our students. Our little students are young aged two to four and are constantly learning new vocabulary. Colorful visuals on all toys and furniture throughout the room will help them see what various things are amongst our classroom. Each item in our classroom needs to be labeled and a pop of color helps make things inviting. A color printer will also allow teachers in our school to print out various items we’ve found such as social stories, social distance greetings and other visuals.
