The requested materials will help build basic reading skills and confidence in my classroom. I will use the materials in small group instruction (with only four students at time) and literacy centers (where they can practice these skills independently). I will use the books to give them the opportunity to read different stories in class and at home. I want my students to have fun and learn through play. My goal is to give them extra resources to practice in a variety of ways. I believe they will enjoy learning when they have ample opportunities to learn in different ways.
