Observing and Documenting Wildlife in the Habitat
Funded Mar 25, 2025Thank you for making learning magical. When we step out into the habitat the classroom feels like we entered into a realm that doesn't look like papers and chairs. It's nature at it's finest and conversations with little kids about things they are naturally curious about. Being able to have the tools to observe nature and make more astute observations, like being able to identify a bird not only by its markings, but it's nest and behaviors is a lot of fun for kids. Feeding squirrels and watching them up to their hilarious antics is also educational and amusing. Thanks for helping us out.”

Funded Mar 17, 2025Thank you so much for the maker kit and tools. I love having open-ended projects for my students and the products are always better with the right tools. It's important to let kids be creative when they are young and take chances in a safe environment. Thank you again for making this possible.”

Kicking Math Around the Field
Funded Aug 27, 2024My students actually started screaming when they saw the soccer balls and begged to air them up immediately. I told them what the plan was to use them to help us learn our math. Using Magic School AI, I typed in our curriculum goals and asked it to create a soccer game. Ten seconds later we had our rules and were headed to the soccer field to try our new game. I took pictures of the kids playing and actually in a photo, it looks like regular soccer. The kids love it.
My class is over 50% ESL and the international students really love it. I hope that the fun makes the math stick. I can't thank you enough for the generosity because I get to see the smiles and hear that I am the best teacher in the world, when you should be here to hear that as well.”

Treasure Hunting in the Habitat
Funded May 3, 2024The kids had a great time following a map and measuring to " X marks the spot", where they were able to use the metal detectors to find the next clue (that also had them measure to the next clue) until they found the big treasure. They also enjoyed reading the Pete the cat treasure book and we are still reading Jack Jones in class together. Thanks so much for making learning fun. The metal detectors were a great hit. They all had to take turns using them and the shovel! They also found a few other metal objects that were mostly rusted but they were excited to find anything! We've started a collection of everything they find.”
