This classroom project was brought to life by General Motors Corporation and 7 other donors.Supporting My Students Virtually!
Funded Oct 21, 2020You don’t understand how much this means to me! This year has been such a struggle for me and my students and having material that’s accessible for my students to understand what I am teaching means so much! Being an education teacher I think that people do not understand how much it takes for a student to understand the information being taught.”

A Cricut In The Classroom!
Funded Oct 23, 2018I would first like to start off by thanking each and every one of you once again! Thanks to your gracious donations I have been able to scaffold more efficiently for my students. For those who do not know scaffolding refers to a variety of instructional techniques used to move students progressively toward stronger understanding and, ultimately, greater independence in the learning process. With the help of the Circuit machine I have been able to push my student's understandings by creating individualized flash cards, math prompts, bulletin boards and creative extension projects.
We have recently started an extension project which focuses on college awareness. With the help of the machine, I will be able to make college cutouts of caps and gowns and have my students write in the middle of them their hopes and dreams. This will hopefully get the students excited and push their creativity when discussing college.
With this said the machine has also struck an interest in a group of my students who now voluntarily come up to my classroom during lunch to make creative fun projects and enjoy learning what new things we can create. They eventually want to make a DIY project which I am leaving for them to decide fully on their own to help develop student creativity!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Cowan
