While the library is an active place during lunch time, only about 1/3 of the students actively engage their minds with reading, studying, or gaming. Adding more interesting games like Code Names, Battleship, and Boggle to our library collection will help encourage more students to take their socialization to a new level that will have them using their brains while they have fun. Playing games in the library will benefit students through mental stimulation, improved memory, and developing social skills. Offering a wider variety of games will allow students to develop their minds in different ways through strategy, word building, logic and reasoning. While academics certainly has it's place in education and is avidly supported by the library, gaming offers a stress-free way to impart learning to students.
