Some of my main objectives for transitional kindergartners is that they become empowered learners who are curious, love school, and participate actively. Equipping my classroom with several choice items will help me achieve that. A variety of art supplies and tools will equip my students to explore their creative ideas. The canvas drop cloth provides my students the space to explore, and the different brushes and tools equip my students to indulge in their imagination. Engaging in art is an opportunity for my students to develop fine-motor skills, satisfy curiosity, plan original ideas, and grow a love and appreciation of the arts. Four year-old students can engineer too! Construction toys and kinetic sand are appropriate alternatives to building blocks. These materials promote engineering innovation and talents as well as problem solving skills. A chart about our feelings will help me better coach my students to regulate their emotions. Knowing how to identify emotions and choose appropriate behavior are important goals for school socialization. All of these materials and classroom games make learning fun!
