Back to School
Funded Aug 8, 2023Thank you so much for helping us get the year off to a great start. Having these resources will be instrumental to getting rolling on day one. I cannot wait to do different collaborative activities and see the students thrive. I really appreciate your support and cannot wait to show you what they do.”

Funded Nov 16, 2022The studentshad a blast learning how weather tools can be made at home. They enjoyed being able to understand how the different types of radiation can be seen in different elements with our new power base.
When the students saw how simple many of the weather tools are, they did not want to believe it at first. This led to a great discussion about how technology has changed and improved over time.
I have had an increase in the number of students wanting to take my class thanks to your support.”

New Class, New Opportunities
Funded Feb 14, 2022Thank you so much for your support! The chemistry class was a huge success. Many of the students loved having the opportunities to do labs, explore concepts, and gain a better understanding of the material covered.
The TeachersPayTeachers gift card really helped us to find engaging notes, presentations, puzzles, labs, and color-by-numbers. The students loved being able to have notes that allowed for them to have a guide and space to add in their own additions. The color-by-number activities were a huge hit! People do not realize how much students love to color. They demonstrated what they knew by their coloring page. It made it so much easier to have a destressing review of concepts during the semester.”

Exciting Adventures and Projects
Funded Jul 20, 2021The new resources that your generous donations helped supply for this classroom have been used to find engaging escape games and hands-on activities on TeachersPayTeachers for all of my students. The most recent purchase and activity we did using the gift card for TeachersPayTeachers was an escape room reviewing the concepts for habitats and symbiotic relationships. My students loved it and it was a close competition to see which team would win.
When the students saw the different physical activities, the stellar origins of the stellar elements game, my astronomy students were over the moon. They could not wait to get started. We are beginning the activity and so far the students are exploring the elements in the universe in a way that they never have before.
All of the students have been so appreciative of all the materials provided and the opportunity for us to find and purchase relevant and engaging lessons. Every time we use the supplies you helped us gain, the students are becoming alive again. After COVID-19 and virtual learning, many of my students had become distant and fearful of education. Now my students look forward to coming into my science classroom. They know that they can learn, explore, and have fun.”

Funded Nov 13, 2018We have indoor and outdoor track and field. Most of our athletes do compete in both seasons. As the materials came in, I pulled in the students that were on the team last year and showed them the tent, the water bottles, the shot puts, and the discuses. All of them were so happy. One student said, "Now we won't burn or have to beg another school to let us have shade!"
At the indoor track meet, we used the shot puts, the tents, and the water bottles. The students were showing off what they got and telling other school athletes that someone cared enough about them to give them these things.
The young man who throws shot put for us is so excited to have the shot put. He checks it daily to make sure that there are no scratches or blemishes on it. He uses the old one we have that is no longer good for competition to practice with and uses the new one for competition only.
Thanks to your donation, we were able to get some hurdles we have desperately been needing. Your donation allowed for us to have enough money through the budget and fundraising to get 10 new hurdles. Your donation has done more for these athletes than can be expressed in words. All I can say is thank you for what you did. You gave these athletes physical goods, but you also gave them support from their community.”
