  • Snacks For Energy!

    Funded Sep 26, 2022

I want to give a big thank you from my students and I. They received so many snacks. They received cookies, cakes, many different chips, applesauce, juice, candy, and crackers, Some of them miss breakfast and are always hungry throughout the day. These snacks were used to help all m students and even some other students who are always hungry. We all really appreciate it, and can not say thank you enough. I even had teachers take part in eating some snacks. They were a big help in giving students energy and staying focused.”

  • Quenching Students Thirst

    Funded Sep 20, 2022

I would like to say thank you so much for all the water that was donated! My students and I are forever thankful for everyone's generosity. My students were able to hydrate during class. The water also helped them stay woke and focused during class because before then, they were not focused. Our water fountains do not work, and the city of Jackson's water is contaminated. They are so thankful for this water. Seeing the smiles on their face made me so very happy. They especially liked that the water was from different brands.”

  • Fun in the AP Art Room

    Funded Sep 11, 2022

Hello to every donor! I can not express in words how much I appreciate you all! My students loved all the supplies that got funded. We were able to use each and every one of them and created so much! The students were so excited about the many different projects we could create. Being a teacher and an art teacher can be very expensive. Art supplies cost so much. That is why I am so appreciative of every donor! I can not say thank you enough. I even had students from other classrooms who wanted to come to join us. Thanks again!”

  • Water For the Soul

    Funded Aug 20, 2022

Hey to all you donors out there! I cannot think you enough for all of your generosity. My students and I were so happy to receive all your donations to fund our project. It was so lovely to have good drinking water in our classroom. No student was left thirsty. I even gave some of my neighbors' students water. This project helped me and my students and other students on the hall. They were also happy to receive good drinking water.

The water machine we got donated was a big hit. This was no regular machine. I say this because we could make hot chocolate once the cold breeze came outside. Yum! Thank you again!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Smith

  • Virtually Artistic

    Funded Jan 21, 2021

I can not thank you all enough! The students and I were so happy to receive those materials. During that time, we were entirely virtual, and it was so hard to be creative through the computer screen. With the materials, each student was about to receive an art kit. This kit helped them create hands-on home projects that went along without virtual lessons.

When I told the students our project was fully funded, their faces lit up, and they were excited to come to pick them up at school. Some have never owned art materials, and they were so thankful.

    Thank you again!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Smith

This school year, my district is virtual. I have been trying to develop different ideas on how to explore different art mediums with my students. I want my students to experience painting at least once before the school year is over. With the materials, they will have their own painting set at home, and I can instruct them via virtual class on how to start. We have talked about painting, painters, and different paintings. They were very interested. I would also love them to have at least one hands-on project before the school year ends.
