Language Learning and Busy Bodies
Funded Nov 2, 2023Thank you so much for all of your generous donations. My students are loving the new activities to help them grow their language skills. They were so excited to open everything and see new items to play with. Seeing concepts in various ways helps them to generalize these skills into their everyday life.
Using new items in therapy helps me to keep students engaged. Many of my students have been coming to speech for several years and having new materials always helps keep them engaged and loving learning.
We have been using the new items to work on building all of our language skills. It is helping us answer various questions, build our vocabulary and follow directions. We get to read new books and play new games. Thank you for everything.”

Funded Oct 11, 2021My students love the new activities and communication support. They are able to use the pictures to communicate their wants and needs effectively. We love playing with the farm and matching the mom and baby animals. Our fidget toys are helping to regulate our emotions and calm us down when needed or just for a fun break from learning. My students with communication difficulties have various activities that help them participate in all of our activities and use play to help them learn. Finding mini eraser friends is the best! Thank you for all that you do, we love all of it!”

Funded May 18, 2021Thank you so much for your generous donations! All of the books are so amazing and help me in the classrooms. The students are able to see the story, and have digital materials since we have to limit manipulatives due to cleaning protocols. We are able to use pictures to go along with each of the stories and help students of all abilities participate appropriately.
Many of my students need pictures to communicate and these books help them to learn. We love reading Giraffes Can't Dance, In the Tall Tall Grass and especially Dragons Love Tacos. Thank you so much for your generous donations.”

Funded Oct 30, 2020Thank you so much for the materials to make my Green Screen dreams come true! I have gotten so many materials to help implement this and help the students feel like they are immersed in the experience! We have so many options and are just learning which ones are our favorites. We are able to pop balloons, see our favorite characters in elevators, and we even had a snowball fight. We are having so much fun while we are learning concepts. Seeing dinosaurs, princesses, and even one of our favorite mice we are able to learn new language concepts such as actions, prepositions, nouns, and many more. Thank you for helping this virtual world feel a little more realistic and let us use our imaginations. We can't wait to see all the fun we can have!”

Sounds Like Fun
Funded Sep 14, 2020Thank you so much for the gift cards to use on Teachers Pay Teachers. I was able to purchase many activities to help give my students variations for therapy. I was able to get a variety of materials so that even when working on the same target they could have different games and books to play. They love that they are not having to use the same activity every week. Having a variety not only means that they aren't bored, but it helps them to generalize their learned skills into many different situations. We love learning and want these important targets to be used in all aspects of their lives. Thank you!!!”

Funded Sep 12, 2020Thank you so very much for all of the resources for me to help my students digitally. I have gotten many fun online activities for them to play, new headphones to help me hear them better and will soon be receiving a document camera. The students love the variety of activities they are able to use and interact with during my daily sessions and on their own time. Giving them these materials gives them the drive to want to come to each session and participate. Being able to hear them clearly helps me to know if they are doing things correctly and not needing many repeats. Thank you for all of your help!”

Funded May 28, 2020Thank you so much for your donations. Due to COVID I was unable to get everything in the hands of students as we are 100% virtual. My room is set up and ready for them when they do return. Having a nice library station will help them to have fun literacy activities, lamination helps with moving pieces for many hands as well as using virtually to help my students who have limited verbal schools. I have many buckets and shelves that will be utilized when school returns back for all of my students to grab and play with. They will have so much fun, I can't wait to be back with all of them, but in the meantime I will be using what I can to help them virtually with the materials I received. Thank you so very much!!!!!!!”

Funded Oct 25, 2018Thank you so very much for all of your donations to my project! My students were so excited to see all of the materials that we received! We love using the sensory bins with toys hidden inside to help us grow our vocabulary. We are able to use the sensory materials and pair them with pictures to help those students that are unable to words just yet. We love the soft toys that we can put in different scenarios, practice prepositions, follow directions, and practice our social skills. All of these materials help us to have fun and use hands on learning. When we are engaged we learn better and retain all of the skills that we learned and can apply them to other situations. We love everything and all of it is already getting so much use. Our absolute favorite is the "Mystery Box". We get to predict, label, and sing a song that goes along with it!
The materials rotate and travel with me when I go to my other schools and all of the children that I work with get to reap the benefits of all of these amazing tools. Thank you for all of your donations! We are so thankful!”
