  • Food Explorers

    Thank you for supporting us! Food Explorers are learning the five food groups, and the importance of eating healthy. The refrigerator was a GREAT help because we have more room to store food, which results in more cooking and tasting!

    When our students saw the refrigerator they were excited! They love taking part in cooking and tasting new things. We were able to combine the new fridge with the one we had. We are able to place larger orders from Fresh Direct, which allows more of our students to participate in cooking more often.

    When our students see food the first thing they say is, "I'm NOT eating that!" It pleases me to see they are trying it and they like it!”

  • Safety Brings About Higher Learning

    Thank you so much for your generous gift! My students are learning about food, and have begun experimenting with substances and how after combining them their properties change. We needed the safety goggles to protect our eyes from the powder we were/will be using. The wipes came in handy, because of course there were spills. Instead of running around to clean it up, each group had at there side a container of wipes to quickly clean up the mess.

    When my students saw the materials set up and out for use they were so very excited. They have been waiting for the hands on portion of the science for some time. I thank you for sponsoring my project, because the materials were needed, but I couldn't acquire them.”

The use of laptops is a daily activity in my Social Studies and Science class. Many of my students, even the ones that struggle with reading, do amazing when researching and collecting data on the internet. The problem is there aren’t enough computers, resulting in limited time to collect data and lessons taking longer than usual to complete! The additional laptops would give ALL students the opportunity for full engagement in accessing the internet. It would keep all students engaged and interested in the topic at had and limit the chances of any students losing focus, making our learning more exciting! Keeping all students engaged will reduce interruptions in learning!

About my class
