Students who are able to have a large selection of books are more likely to find books that resonate with them and get excited about reading. The books I have selected contain some of the best books available, many of them new, relevant books that readers in my class will connect to. Students in my class are expected to read at least 40 books during the school year. This addition to my library will give reluctant readers many different choices and make it more likely that they will reach their goal. Our classroom is a place where we discuss books and ideas daily. Students gain enthusiasm for reading from the recommendations of their classmates- often a good book will circulate through the entire class after a student has discovered it and told everyone else about it. Thank you for helping us grow our classroom library.
