Writing Center
Funded Dec 15, 2021Thank you donors for your continued support! My students are pandemic children. They were either in kindergarten or 1st grade when they went remote. Vital writing lessons were missed and many didn't have the necessary materials to write at home.
In my classroom, there are students on all levels when it comes to writing. The materials you have helped me purchase, has given my students writing paper, pens and editing pens for their pieces (narrative, opinion, poetry, etc.). As well as the materials -- construction paper, cardstock, crayons, markers, etc--for math projects.
Once again thank you!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Liz

Funded Dec 15, 2021Let me start by thanking you for your generosity!
My students were so elated to see all of the new materials around the classroom. The puzzles, legos and brain games have offered them a break from the rigorous instruction and a chance to get to know one another; a chance to develop important relationships with classmates.
During the pandemic, many students were remote. They missed out on building lasting friendships and regulating self awareness. By having these purposeful play materials, they are learning how to share, take turns, how to lose and how to win and most importantly, how to have fun with one another.
Since receiving these materials, I have heard their laughter and seen the joy in their faces. Thank you for giving them a chance to be social!”

Funded Dec 1, 2021Thank you for supporting my classroom!
My students were so excited to see all the books and materials we would use for reading. My students have worked so hard to move up levels and grow academically as readers, because of their dedication and hard work, I wanted to vamp up our reading library with books that are engaging and educational.
Each week my students book shop for new books to add to their book baggies for independent reading and to read at home, Dogman is a favorite! They enjoy flipping through the pages seeing colorful pictures, while reading material that meets the standards and offers for character studies, character growth, and problem resolution--specifically cause and effect.
From my students and me, thank you for revamping our library!”

Funded Aug 10, 2021Let me begin by thanking you all for your generous donation!
My classroom is a safe place for all; A place where learning is important, but so is equity. To create a more equitable and welcoming classroom, I needed books that reflected my student population. Thank you for helping me achieve this goal; thank you for helping me to offer a library that embraces different cultures, self identity, and self love.
Daily my students find comfort reading books about historical figures and pioneers in music, art, sports, and politics that reflect their culture, that reflect them physically. It offers them a realization that they too can achieve such greatness as their heroes.
Once again thank you for helping me provide my students with books and characters that reflect my students!”

Funded Mar 11, 2021Thank you donors for your generosity once again! I am in awe of the overwhelming support my class and I have received. These materials have allowed me to offer more stations for math and has allowed me to differentiate and modify instruction using manipulatives and a more hands on approach.
Math has become more engaging; students are able to solve problems and figure out different solutions to quantity, comparing, and explaining data using counters and cubes to represent the equation and word problem.
With the pandemic limiting supplies and access for all students, your support has given all my students the same access for success. Thank you for caring!”

Books, Books, and More Books
Funded Sep 2, 2020Words cannot begin to express my gratitude.
First, thank you for continuing to support my classroom and my projects. Seeing the excitement on the faces of my students when we receive a package from donor's choose is priceless! Maybe even more, is the face when they open a new never before read book. You have helped me to continue to offer my students a variety of books and tools to become lifelong readers.
Second, during these trying and different times, I want to thank you as a parent, a mother, a neighbor, a citizen for your ability to support our school community and the most impressionable minds.
From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU!”

A Chair for My Students
Funded Dec 22, 2019Where to begin?
First, I would like to thank you all for your generosity. These children are amazing and deserve nothing but the best. Donors like you continue to make it possible for me to offer my students the best materials, variety, and a warm, secure environment.
Second, my gratitude extends past the classroom. As a person, a mother, a neighbor during these trying and different times, it is an amazing feeling to know that there are others who continue to put their community and the most impressionable minds first.
For all this and so much more, THANK YOU!”
With gratitude,

Funded Oct 14, 2019Let me start by expressing my gratitude for your generous donation!
This printer has helped bring my teaching and student learning to a new level. With the color printer, I am able to create a name wall with colored pictures of all my students and our class mascot, Mabel. This has helped my students specifically in writing. Many of the students like to write stories about playing in the playground with their friends. With these pictures and names on the name wall they are able to spell their friends' name correctly.
Also, learning the alphabet and the sounds the letters make is a big component in becoming readers and writers. This printer has allowed me to print out colored images of things that "begin with..." to aid in their learning--letter and sound recognition.
Lastly, our room is filled with vivid colored pictures I have taken of students working, playing together, and celebrating things like the harvest feast!”

The dollhouse you helped me get for my students is the perfect addition and the final touch to an amazing purposeful play area! Students are able to act out everyday scenarios and rolls in society and families with the figures and this dollhouse. Also, they are able to build on and improve their social skills, specifically, taking turns, sharing, and working through and resolving conflict!
We look forward to an exciting year filled with learning and purposeful play. Once again, thank you for your generosity!”

Funded Aug 14, 2019The start to the new school year has been both engaging and eye opening! We have taken the time to get to know one another, learn classroom routines and expectations, while diving right in to the Kindergarten curriculum!
As expected this vivacious group falls all across the spectrum of knowledge. Some students entered kindergarten reading while others are still working on letter recognition. We have been busy working in whole group, small groups and independently working on specific skills. The materials you have so generously donated to have helped make teaching and learning more engaging and beneficial to the growth of each and every child in the classroom.
Not to be forgotten, we have had many opportunities daily to play purposefully with the materials purchased in this package!”
