• Adjusting To Our New Norm With Proper PPE!

  Having the availability to give my students proper PPE had a huge impact. During this time my students were able to wear stylish and colorful masks. They didn't have to worry about buying single use masks or finding one everyday. They were able to wash these masks and re wear them unlike single use masks. Single use masks also have a negative impact the environment. In our community we were seeing an abundance of used masks improperly discarded in the streets. My students were very happy with the PPE and we are grateful for your donation!”

• Incorporating Beneficial Plants Into the Classroom

  Thank you so much for donating to my "Beneficial Plants" Project. Having plants in our classroom has really brightened up the room both visually and emotionally. The student's have enjoyed watching them grow over the last few months. They have also taken on the responsibility of caring for them and watering them weekly.

  Since my classroom is a STEM Lab having the ability to have live plants is also a teachable experience. Students can see that artificial light helps them grow the same way natural light does.

• Calming Corner for My Classroom

  Funded Jan 12, 2024

  I would like to begin with saying thank you for your very generous donation. My students were very excited to see the amazing calming corner I was able to put together because of your donation. I wanted to be able to provide my students with a safe place to relax when they need a moment to cope with their feelings. Teaching in a STEM Lab setting can often become over stimulating to some of the special education students. The calming corner and supplies have supported them in many ways. These students have particularly benefitted from using the headphones to soften the noise that accompanies group work and STEM challenge activities. Other students enjoy the fidgets and emotion books while taking a break in the corner.

• Displaying Student Work on a Digital Frame

  Thank you again for donating to my digital picture frame. My students have been able to upload photos directly to the frame, allowing them to proudly show off their hard work.

  All students enjoy using this type of technology. They are excited and motivated to complete a project, knowing that they will get to "send it to the frame." The frame had boosted their confidence in regard to displaying their work. They have the opportunity to showcase their projects. Your generosity has impacted my students immensely.”

  Thank you again for donating to my Stem Lab's library. My students now have a variety of books in many areas of STEM. They can now be introduced to careers in STEM, biographies of people that were successful in the STEM fields, coding, African Americans in STEM and women in STEM.

  Picture books such as Rosie Revere Engineer and Ada Twist Scientist have been engaging to the younger learners.!
