  • Graphic Novels for New English Learners

    Thank you for helping my newcomer English Language Learners develop a love for reading! As soon as I introduced the novels to my class, everyone was eager to start reading.

    My students enjoy reading the novels during our independent reading time. I have used the books as an additional resource to teach character traits, sequencing, and cause and effect.

    As a result of reading the graphic novels, many students began to create their own storyboards. I was able to to connect their artistic abilities with English language content.”
