The students within the Multiple Disabilities Program through the Warren County ESC have various ability levels and sensory needs. The materials requested will assist students to better manage their sensory and social-emotional needs. The students have difficulties regulating their behaviors, as well as making their needs known. By using the manipulatives and interactive tools, the students will have the opportunity to calm and refocus themselves. The materials we will implement are pre-made materials for teachers to implement within their classroom or sensory room settings. Staff will assist in identifying which tools or activities will help meet the students' sensory needs. They will be encouraged to interact more kinesthetically, rather than just using the traditional paper and pencil route of learning.
