Help us learn about the Power of the SUN!
Funded Aug 29, 2023On behalf of Brooklyn Landmark Elementary School, we thank you for your solar panel donations!
We were able to educate young minds to understand the impact of Climate Change/Global Warming and how we can reduce carbon dioxide and ozone layer erosion. The class I chose for this project was a ICT class (students with special needs).
Once they understood the concept of climate change/global warming and its' effects on the planet and all living things that live on Earth (i.e. polar bears, arctic foxes, droughts and dangerous storms that are the result of climate change.
When the students received the solar panels they were very excited to see if the panel would power a fan and a light. They were surprised that the panels actually worked since they have never experienced using solar panels before. They had a fun time assembling the solar panels and connecting them to a motor and a light source. The students now want to learn about wind power and hydro power. Complete Success!”

Funded Dec 5, 2022We at Brooklyn Landmark Elementary School appreciate all the donors and their generous donations that will provide hours of engineering fun for our future engineers!
These materials will serve over 200 students who are using the Legos to develop their Engineering Skills such as problem solving, design, evaluating prototypes, improving on their inventions, logical reasoning and igniting their critical thinking skills for future projects.
Getting students interested in Engineering and Design opens up a whole new world for our students to explore engineering concepts (also math and science) that will hopefully inspire a new generation of engineers to tackle future problems that will improve the lives of people around the world.
Our students absolutely love the advanced Legos that you've provided for them!
Thanks again for your donations!”
With gratitude,
Mr. Chin
