Celebrate Remote Learning Successes!
Funded Dec 16, 2020During this incredibly hard year, your generosity is felt deeply. It gives me hope that our students feel seen and heard. Thank you from all of us. As a school, we are struggling to find creative ways to keep students engaged and I think this project will really help. Your support energizes us to keep doing all we can. Stay safe and healthy.”

Funded Dec 1, 2018Thank you much for so quickly supporting the basic needs of my students. We are temporarily located in a wing of a middle school and we receive school lunch from their cafeteria. They serve the students middle school portions and it is not nearly enough food for them, especially when it can be their only meal of the day. The snacks have helped them stay focused and productive in the classroom both in the morning and toward the end of the day.
Possibly even more than the snacks, they have GREATLY appreciated the gloves. We are entering a cold snap and my students are traveling often across two or three school districts on public transportation to get here. Yesterday several students said they wouldn't be able to come today when it's 3 degrees because they don't have winter gear. They couldn't believe I was able to give them gloves right when they needed them. And of course as teens, they were thrilled that they could still use their cell phones wearing their gloves! My personal gratitude is huge as I see them come in this morning wearing the gloves and braving the cold.
Additionally, the young women in need of feminine products know they will be helped when they come to school. They know they won't have to miss a day if they don't have the money to buy supplies. I have a closet in my office and students can take what they need with no judgment. Each one of them respects the process and only takes what they need. It is never exploited and students express their appreciation to you for making this a possibility.”
