Yoga Club will meet weekly in the mornings before school to assist kids. I will utilize Yoga for the classroom http://www.yoga4classrooms.com/ and Yoga Pretzels materials I have order to assist kids to learn the following: Manage stress through breathing, awareness, meditation and healthy movement. Students will develop body awareness, learn how to use their bodies in a healthy way. Kids will also learn to build concentration, increase their confidence and positive self-image, and feel part of a healthy, non-competitive group. The yoga mats will be used to run several sessions of morning Yoga throughout the school year and in addition with small groups of children throughout the school day.
