  • Let's Talk Technology

    Funded Dec 10, 2020

If you could see the smile on my face 🥰. This means so much to me and I know that my students will be excited to see the good in this world. You donors make this teaching virtually a bit easier when we have the necessary equipment to do so. Again , thank you for your support.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Evans

  • Zoomin' While Learnin!

    Funded Dec 2, 2020

You guys ROCK! Thank you so much for your donations. My scholars will be so excited to see the new digital resources. Teachers Pay Teachers gives us teachers hope that we will make it through this tough journey called virtual learning. My scholars will zoom on through because of you. Thank you again to you both for believing in our future leaders.”

    Mrs. Evans

  • Student PENPAL Connection!

    Funded Dec 1, 2020

Thank you for your donations. My scholars are going to really enjoy this project. They will get the experience of writing letters early. This opportunity will give them the chance to express how they feel about the world today, where they won't be judged. Thank you again for making our visions reality.”

  • Printing My World in Color: A Page at a Time

    Funded Nov 9, 2020

All I can say is WOW!! Seeing that this project has been funded, truly lifted our spirits. This is truly a dream come true. I now will be able to take each of my students packets to their homes so that they can follow along with me and not just do everything on the computer. My students thank you and can’t wait to show you how much this has impacted our classroom.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Evans

  • Extra! Extra! Read All About It!

    Funded May 7, 2019

Your donation to this project has entirely changed the atmosphere for reading in our classroom. The students get excited when they are able to read the new books and not have to worry about missing pages. A typical day of reading in our classroom looks like students scattered around the room in bean bags while reading with a partner or individually.

There are a few students who are more interested than other. They are the higher level ones who can read the chapter books. They get to keep books longer and can picture more than the lower level books.

Thank you very much for your act of kindness and donating to this project.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Evans

  • Flashlight Fridays

    Funded Oct 22, 2018

We would like to thank you with a big hug! My students absolutely love Flashlight Friday's. They choose a book of their choice, grab a flashlight and head to their favorite place in the classroom. They can partner read or read alone. I pull down the blinds and hit the lights. Many of them haven't mastered reading in the heads yet so you may hear them trying to read as silently as they can. Nonetheless, they are reading and having fun.

They get lost in the stories and hate to have to stop. They ask for extra time and of course I agree to ten or fifteen more minutes because its a sight to see. My students have advanced a level in their reading from the constant exposure to the books you helped my donate.

Thank you again, for believing in my vision.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Evans

What up! My name is Ms.Rhodes and I am a first year teacher. I am teaching at a Title 1 school and I love it! But what they don't prepare you for after school is what to do when you walk into an empty classroom. Reading with the lights off is bad for your eyes, that is what my grandmother always told me. Well, I have a solution for that! Flashlight Friday's will be a day where my students get to read in the dark. They will be able to get the best of both worlds. Reading their favorite book and relaxing. I have selected books such as Henry and Mudge, Dairy of a Wimpy Kid and The Wonderful Things You Will Do. Also, flashlights for each student to have their own. We need books because there is none in our classroom and flashlights to make it a little more exciting. In the neighborhood that I work in, these babies don't get the luxury of having books to read at home. They are living in public housing and live in a single parent home. It is my responsibility to make sure that they are giving every opportunity.
