These materials will help our children with significant language needs. The materials will help create a PODD communication book for each child who is in need, as well as one class PODD per classroom in our building. PODD stands for Pragmatic Organization Dynamic Display. This is a tool that allows every child no matter what their disability, to access language whenever, whatever, and however they want. The PODD communication books are up to 100 pages of visual language, providing constant opportunities to request, complain, have an opinion, ask questions, tell a story..and so much more. It is a whole language approach, that rely's on adults and peers to model those requests, complaints, opinions, questions and stories. PODD has change the lives of individuals with significant communication needs. It should be the universal language in the world for all special education, so that any child or adult can talk to anyone in the world whenever, however, and say whatever they want. Please consider donating to this project. It will change the lives of so many children and families!
