Smith's Sensational Sixth Graders!

The past few months have been amazing. The amount of concentration from my students has increased tenfold. The negative behaviors caused by over-activeness has decreased. The amount of joy in the room has increased!

When they first saw all of the boxes they were so curious as to what it all could be. I informed them on what flexible seating was and what it can do. They were shocked at the generosity of people that didn't know them personally. Their faces when I told them how much was donated were that of astonishment. Then when we started to open the items they began to get so excited.

These seating options have changed the dynamic of the room for the better. The amount of breaks students needed to take to just move around decreased. The behaviors have decreased. The amount of work getting done has increased! These flexible seating options have truly changed my students outlook on school. They are learning how to take care of the items as well! They know to pick up around their desks to ensure nothing sharp is on the floor that can pierce the exercise ball, or to make sure the floor is clean so the stools don't slip.
